I have to admit that the span is certainly short enough and the weight load is light enough that 2x4 rafters are sufficient. That said, and I realize you were matching the existing building...

Did you use hurricane clips on the rafters? If not, with the kind of winds you guys get there and because it's open on both ends, it might be worth considering!

New here, but not to Squid's forums. Wanted to say hello to all my fellow craftsman here. I have a decent sized and equipped shop in East Texas with tools that focused primarily on custom made home...
