Took delivery of the tractor w/bumper installed and trailer on Sat. June 6. Since then I have added the Deluxe Sun Shade and the Rider Personal Cooling System (both Father's Day gifts). Check it out:

I just installed the shade and the cooling system a couple of days ago and have not had a chance to mow with it yet.

I will report back and let y'all know if it is a waste of money or not.

The shade I think will work well. It is large and not low enough to hamper getting on and off of the tractor (I am 6 foot).

What's that strange looking totem pole thing growing out of the hood?

It is the business end of the RCS aka the "rider cooling system" (i.e., a mister), LOL. I could not believe it when I saw it in the Sears store and my family ended up giving it to me for Father's Day.

I finally got around to using it last Thursday. Here is my report:

LIKES:

- DOES cool you off - I found I liked it best aimed at my throat (probably good to cool down the carotid arteries);
- install was pretty easy and straight forward;
- reservoir lasts a pretty good amount of time;
- has an adjustment knob to get the mist just right;

DISLIKES:

- on off switch is pretty much directly behind your back (a potential fix for this would be to tie into the wiring harness under the dash and install a second switch on the dash);
- mist can be blown around by the wind - sometimes does not make it to your body!
- the mister head can wobble around a little bit on bumpy terrain - stays in place pretty well for the most part

Nice Rig !!! I've got a crappy old pasture I need to cut that full of old tree limbs, rusty rabbit wire and dog toys .... gas that sucker up with premium, I'll be over to borrow it.
